The Tampa City Council voted last week to include transgendered people in the list of groups it's illegal to discriminate against.  Woohoo!

 The preliminary vote, held earlier this month, aroused little attention.  But the final vote drew the notice of organized religiously-based opponenets of the measure, and council members were reportedly deluged with messages both for and against.  I hope some of your messages were among them!
